A beautiful and very hardy bamboo. Its one of the most hardy and versatile clumping bamboo in the landscape. The new culms shoot early in spring. It is an excellent choice where its rapid growth is desired. like all Fargesias, it should be planted with protection from the hot afternoon sun, especially in warmer climates.
Can reach 8-10' tall, 1/2" dia culms
Hardy to -12 degrees F
Rhizomes may tolerate 10-20 degrees colder with thick mulch layer.
